Increasing visibility at local transport hubs |
||
|
Good evening residents,
As part of the Met's commitment to providing reassurance, increasing visibility and creating an active deterrence to criminals at local transport hubs, officers have conducted targeted patrols around Seven Sisters and Bruce Grove station, while also engaging with commuters and providing crime prevention advice. We have identified these two stations as hotspots for theft, particularly phone snatches and general ASB. We have also gained valuable intelligence and information from members of the public on issues around the area which will help us direct resources in the most efficient way possible to catch criminals.
As a reminder to keep your belongings safe while doing your commute: -Keep your phone out of sight when not using it -If you need to use your phone, step into a shop or café, or stand well back from the road -Enable face ID/fingerprint and ensure your phone's tracking app is activated in the event it is stolen -Back up your phone to safeguard your data -Know your phone's IMEI number
If you see us out on patrol, feel free to come over and say hello. We are always happy to talk regarding anything that concerns you. | ||
